Hello! My name is Melissa Benbow and I am a scholar of African American culture, history, and literature, specializing particularly in Black Women studies. I am also a creative: I am a painter and digital humanist. I have teaching experience in both formal and informal institutions as an English professor, artist instructor, college prep advisor, and private tutor. My goal is to help my students creatively express their unique voice.
